Lisa Raye McCoy in real life or commonly known as Lisa Raye is a model, fashion designer and an actress. In her younger years, McCoy was doing fashion shows in churches and high schools in her native home Chicago. She made her acting debut as the lead in Reasons, an independent film and made few other movies before she launched her launched two fashion lines in 2005: Luxe & Romance, a lingerie line that was introduced during New York's Fashion Week, and Xraye, a jeans line for women.
McCoy appeared in several music videos including Tupac’s Toss it Up, Sisqó's Incomplete, Ice Cube's Roll Call and a lot more. She also stars in a TV show called “Single Ladies” through Queen Latifah's production company. The summer of 2011 LisaRaye launched her jean collection "The LisaRaye Collection" in partnership with PZI Jeans. In October 2011, LisaRaye became the Ambassador/Grand Marshall for the 70th Magic City Classic parade and football game in Birmingham Alabama
